Fresh from his trip to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Greg shares with us WeDraw – the winning entry in Samsung’s ‘Free the TV Challenge’ that invited developers to create applications for the latest Samsung TV.
Greg:
“Smart TV or Internet TV allows programmers (like us) to develop applications for the TV. In this instance the controller for the game application is a smartphone. This presents a massive opportunity not just for in-home entertainment but for out of home interaction. The example in the video is not exactly sexy but it demonstrates the principles very well. Samsung thought it was so good they gave the developers $200k.”
